Strategy, Medical Marketing

Bentley has over 18 years of marketing experience in the medical devices industry where he was responsible for launching some of the most innovative technology solutions to healthcare providers and consumers. Much of his background can be found within the client setting which enables him to clearly understand the needs of the marketing and sales groups to create highly effective marketing campaigns. Bentley has a broad industry experience that includes cardiology, neuroradiology and neurosurgery, interventional radiology, neonatal hearing health, women’s health and permanent birth control, and general and laparoscopic surgery. This coupled with his science background uniquely positions him in the creation of marketing strategies for the often complicated healthcare solutions.

Bentley has held marketing management positions at several successful start-ups and pre-IPO companies. At Target Therapeutics (now Boston Scientific), he launched the occlusion coil line for cerebral aneurysms. Bentley introduced the next generation ALGO® newborn hearing screener and disposable supplies while at Natus Medical. He launched globally a cardiac arrhythmia mapping system while at Cardima. At Conceptus, he was responsible for marketing the company’s sole product, the Essure® Permanent Birth Control system to healthcare professionals. More recently, Bentley held a marketing management position with Aragon Surgical, launching the company’s sealing and division devices to surgeons. Rounding out his medical industry experience, Bentley has consulted for various service industries and a consumer sports products company.

Bentley holds an M.B.A. from Dartmouth College in General Management with a Marketing emphasis. Earlier, he attended the University of California at Berkeley where he received a double major, B.A. in Microbiology and Immunology and a B.A. in Economics. During his undergraduate years, he performed research and development on a point of care streptococcal diagnostic system at a medical start-up company.
