Susan H. Scher, MD

Medical Director

Susan Scher, MD, brings to her work for health care clients a mix of clinical and marketing knowledge rarely found in the medical communications industry.

During her two decades in the field, Dr. Scher has served as medical director and strategist on a broad range of programs aimed at defining and advancing marketplace standing. Dr. Scher’s clinical background informs her work in areas ranging from product positioning and clinical messaging, to research communications and creation of clinical practice initiatives. Furthermore, with her medical degree, Dr. Scher can engage opinion leaders and other medical practitioners on their own level.

Dr. Scher’s experience spans the pharma, biotech, medical device and diagnostics sectors. She has worked with industry behemoths such as Sanofi, Bayer and Genentech, as well as smaller companies spanning the fields of cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology and vaccines, among many others.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Scher worked at Burson-Marsteller, most recently as vice president, biotechnology communications, and medical director. There she led several high-profile accounts, including Genentech's t-PA.

Dr. Scher received her medical degree from Boston University before transitioning to industry.
